William J. Cole

I married my college sweetheart Cathy and together we have three great kids, Chloe, Will and Jack.  We live on 5 acres just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada however, my current work assignment requires that I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada every second week.

During the past 11 years I have held positions such as; Account Executive, Sales Manager, Special Projects Manager, Director, Division Manager, General Manager, Vice President Freight Operations and currently Vice President Sales and Marketing for the Quick Group of Companies. I have been described as focused, passionate, hard-charging and sincere.

I grew up in various towns and cities throughout Canada, entering post-secondary in Winnipeg, MB.  After marrying Cathy, we moved to Calgary, AB where we both worked as Youth Directors for a non-profit organization.  After returning to Winnipeg, I worked for The Salvation Army and opened a community center that provided resources for underprivileged children, gangs, new Canadians and single parents.  Through that experience I was named an exemplary citizen of the year.  I have served on several political committees and community boards and it was during this time my desire to become involved in the business community was shaped.

I am passionate about new business development and had the privilege of helping create and launch four businesses in the last 7 years with hands on experience in both sales and operations.  I strongly believe that success is achieved through the input of a community and concurs with an idea presented in James Collins’ book Good to Great in which he says “Greatness is not a function of circumstance.  Greatness is a matter of conscious choice.”
